Monday motivation on the ‘bluest’ of days …

Jan 2024

Blue Monday…..

Today is said to be the most depressing day of the year known as “Blue Monday”.

January is often a time of reflection, of the past year, of what you want to achieve in the coming year. Whether you make resolutions or set goals, either personal or professional, you are always at risk of losing motivation before this month is over.  Therefore, we have decided to share some helpful tips on how to boost mental health and positivity!

  • Get enough sleep. A good night’s sleep is essential for a productive day at the office as it will boost energy, promote creativity and help overall wellbeing.
  • Get outside! Studies show that getting outside in the fresh air for even a couple of minutes during work hours can relieve stress, boost mood, and increase happiness, not to mention the physical exercise!
  • Treat yourself! Whether this be picking up your favourite coffee on the way to work, planning a lunch with colleagues or meeting up with friends in the evening, having something to look forward to will make the day feel a little easier.

“Mondays are the start of the work week which offer new beginnings 52 times a year!” – David Dweck
