Due to ongoing growth, this leading global law firm is currently seeking ambitious solicitors to join its Insurance, Financial, and Professional Disputes Team. The professional liability team provides comprehensive support to insurers and professionals across a range of disciplines, handling all aspects of professional liability claims, commercial disputes, and associated disciplinary matters.

The team is looking for candidates with NQ-7 years’ PQE, offering positions from Junior Associate to Senior Associate level. Applicants should have a strong background in professional negligence or commercial dispute resolution, with experience in insurance matters being highly beneficial. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on a variety of claims for a wide range of professionals, with a particular focus on construction professionals. Exposure to Sheriff Court and Court of Session cases, as well as alternative dispute resolution (ADR), is a key aspect of the role.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a caseload in compliance with service level agreements with insurers.
  • Assisting in the defence of high-value and complex claims.
  • Communicating effectively with clients and meeting reporting deadlines.
  • Conducting advocacy in the Sheriff Court and supporting ADR processes.
