We are currently recruiting for an exciting private client role with our client, a leading Scottish law firm. This role involves joining their Edinburgh practice as an additional Lawyer to support their expanding team.

The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of private client work, including powers of attorney, trusts, asset management, tax, wills, and estate planning. Key duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Advising families on optimal structures for asset ownership (e.g., trusts, partnerships, family investment companies).
  • Providing tax planning guidance in collaboration with clients’ existing advisors.
  • Drafting accurate and precise legal documents related to governance, asset protection, succession, and tax planning.
  • Working closely with accountants, wealth planners, and other professionals to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Managing an independent caseload while contributing to broader team initiatives.

The firm is seeking a newly qualified lawyers who is qualified in Scotland or England & Wales, or hold dual qualification. Prior experience in private client work, particularly involving trusts, is beneficial. While experience with high-net-worth clients would also be viewed favourably, but is again not essential.
