Principal Solicitor (Commercial) – Edinburgh

Practice Area: Commercial Contracts, Commercial Litigation, in-house, Construction, PFI / Projects, Procurement
Level: Associate, Full Time
Section: In-House, Public Sector
Location: Scotland, Central Belt, Edinburgh, Remote, East Lothian
Ref: FW9322

We are delighted to be instructed on this in-house opportunity with a public sector organisation that is recruiting a Senior Commercial Solicitor to join its Legal Team in Edinburgh.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Service Manager (Governance) and will provide expert legal counsel across a range of statutory Local Authority functions, while also leading the Commercial and Property Solicitors within the team.

This role is suited for an experienced commercial lawyer with an interest in team management. While experience in an in-house or public sector legal environment is advantageous, it is not essential. Expertise in construction, projects, procurement, or commercial contracts is encouraged.

This full-time role offers up to two flexitime days per month, a generous pension scheme, and primarily remote work, with office attendance based around essential meetings.

This is a great opportunity to transition into the public sector.

If this position could be of interest to you, please do not hesitate to contact either Cameron or Steph for an initial and confidential discussion. (Assignment 17068)
