Our client, a successful offshore law firm, seeks a motivated and experienced Solicitor to join its dynamic Private Client & Trusts team in Cayman.

You will assist in the overall growth of the firm’s Private Client & Trusts team by offering legal counsel on various matters to both institutional and private clients, while playing an active role in business development and marketing the department and firm to current and potential clients.

You will provide competent and confident advice on the technical aspects of a wide range of wealth planning needs, including:

  • Ensuring compliance with relevant local regulations and advising local fiduciaries accordingly.
  • Assisting with the establishment and management of foundation companies.
  • Gaining knowledge and experience in Unit and Pension Trusts (or demonstrating a willingness to learn in this area).
  • Supporting both non-contentious and contentious applications to the Cayman court.

Candidates will have a minimum of 8 years’ PQE, with a strong commercial and corporate background. Experience in financial services, trusts and foundations, as well as a proven track record in marketing and generating commercial and legal business is essential. STEP membership is desirable but not essential.
