Real Estate/Renewables – Edinburgh (Assignment 15117)

This successful Scottish Law Firm is currently recruiting an experienced Solicitor to join its Renewables team in Edinburgh.

This is a unique role which will give the successful candidate the opportunity to gain experience within the clean energy sector. You will be involved in a broad range of renewable energy work including offshore and onshore projects, advising on M&A, understanding, and advising on complex titles, and assisting with the financing and trading of projects.

To be considered for this position, you should be at the 2-3 years PQE level with previous experience in a property-related role. The team is keen to hear from candidates with a genuine interest for the renewables industry and previous exposure to renewable energy transactions gained in a previous role is preferred.

Energy & Infrastructure (Power) Associate – Edinburgh / Glasgow (Assignment 16531)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join this international Law Firm as an Associate in its Power Team, based in Edinburgh or Glasgow. The team handles diverse work across the energy sector, including commercial, regulatory, M&A, and projects, while also advising on gas and water utilities.

In this role, you will advise top-tier energy companies, developers, and financiers on high-profile deals, shaping the future of power and renewables in the UK and globally. Working alongside a specialised team, you will gain deep industry insights and tackle innovative legal challenges.

Candidates should have a minimum of 4 years’ PQE with experience in the energy sector, preferably with a background in corporate, construction, or commercial law. The firm is committed to continuous training and development, ensuring you achieve your professional goals and succeed in your role.

Property Energy and Infrastructure – Aberdeen/Edinburgh/Glasgow (Assignment 16470)

Our client, an international Law Firm, is currently seeking two additional Lawyers to join its Property Energy subteam within the Development & Investment Team. The more junior role (1-3 years’ PQE) can be based in either the firm’s Edinburgh or Glasgow office, while the more senior role (1-6 years’ PQE) can be based in the firm’s Aberdeen, Glasgow, or Edinburgh office.

The team is one of the UK’s largest groups focused on the energy sector. Key responsibilities include advising on property aspects of green hydrogen projects, offshore wind farms, and carbon capture initiatives. The successful candidates will also support lease arrangements for solar installations and provide guidance on property considerations for energy parks. The ideal candidates will have experience in the property aspects of energy projects, ideally gained within a large regional or national practice. Applicants for the 1-6 PQE role can be qualified in either Scotland or England & Wales, or even be dual qualified. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and friendly firm with a broad range of energy property work.

Edinburgh/Aberdeen Property – Edinburgh/Glasgow (Assignment 16571)

We are currently working with our client, a leading Scottish-headquartered Law Firm, on a new vacancy within its Clean Energy Real Estate Team. The firm can be flexible on location and the post can be based in either its Edinburgh or Glasgow office.

The team focuses on advising developers, investors, and funders on projects in the clean energy sector. The selected candidate will be responsible for offering guidance on the real estate components of projects involving technologies like offshore and onshore wind, solar energy, and battery storage.

The ideal level of candidate will be between 2-5 years’ PQE with experience with experience of the renewables industry. The role involves regular client engagement and requires excellent organisational abilities to manage a large workload, often within challenging timeframes.

Associate, Real Estate (Future Energy) – Edinburgh or Glasgow / Hybrid (Assignment 14343)

Our client is currently recruiting a Solicitor to join its Real Estate Team in Glasgow. The role focuses on future energy and will involve all aspects of real estate advice relating to clean energy. Your duties will include:

  • Drafting option agreements and leases on a wide range of clean energy projects
  • Undertaking due diligence on these projects to include a review of title, enquiries and searches
  • Acting in relation to the financing of clean energy projects and large-scale acquisitions/disposals

The firm is open to hearing from candidates from NQ level up to 5 years PQE. Early 2023 qualifiers will also be considered. Preferably, you should have previous real estate and clean/future energy experience, however, candidates from a commercial property background with no energy experience can be re-trained.

Energy and Strategic Land – Edinburgh/Glasgow/Perth (Assignment 13956)

Exciting opportunity for a Solicitor to join this established Energy and Strategic Land Team. This is a varied and interesting role which will involve advising on commercial property work, transactions and projects. Your key duties will include:

  • Delivering legal advice and services in energy and property law.
  • Drafting and negotiating contracts, offers, options, leases, securities and ranking agreements for solar. wind and battery storage projects.
  • Providing support on project management and maintenance of records and advice.

To be considered for this position you should have at least 2 years’ PQE and have property experience. Although, candidates with various levels of experience would be considered and the firm are keen to hear from dual-qualified candidates. Remote working could be an option.
