Our client, a financial law firm, is currently seeking an Associate to join its market-leading Litigation practice in Guernsey. The highly respected Litigation & Dispute Resolution group is one of the largest in the offshore sector, with a strong international presence and a reputation for delivering results.

In this role, you will collaborate with seasoned litigators on complex, high-profile international disputes in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

Key duties include:

  • Gathering client instructions, offering legal advice, and preparing documents for Partner review.
  • Ensuring efficient use of Partners’ time and proactively solving issues.
  • Completing tasks efficiently and to the required quality within billable time.
  • Taking ownership of your professional development and fulfilling CPD requirements.

The ideal candidate will have relevant academic and professional qualifications, preferably obtained within a common law jurisdiction. Ideally, they will have 2 to 5 years of PQE, however, those with slightly less experience will be considered based on their relevant technical knowledge and skills.

Experience as a trainee in general commercial litigation, financial services and regulatory law, insolvency, and restructuring is preferred. The candidate should have a proven ability to comprehend complex legal issues and provide sound legal advice, along with the skills to draft a variety of legal documents.
