Due to continued client growth, this new style, independent law firm is currently seeking a Lawyer to join its Non-Contentious Construction Team in either its Edinburgh or Glasgow office. The team is responsible for providing advice to clients in both the private and public sectors on numerous non-contentious matters in the fields of energy, health, real estate, and education.

The successful candidate can expect to provide professional advice on construction contracts including the drafting and negotiation of SBCC/JCT Building Contracts, NEC Engineering and Construction Contracts. You will also be involved in subcontracts, collateral warranties, bonds and guarantees and professional team’s appointments.

To be considered for this position, you will possess a minimum of 2 years’ PQE with previous experience of non-contentious construction. A good understanding of construction contracts is desirable, and significant experience of the NEC3 / NEC4 forms of contract would be advantageous.
