Our client, a prominent in-house organisation is currently recruiting a Senior Legal Counsel to join its legal team in Glasgow. This role offers the opportunity to provide expert legal support across a range of commercial and procurement matters, working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives while ensuring legal compliance.

The ideal candidate will be a Scottish qualified solicitor with 5+ years’ PQE and a current practising certificate. Key responsibilities include drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts, providing timely legal advice, and managing relationships with external legal panel firms.

The role also involves ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, advising on legal risks, and contributing to the development of internal policies to enhance operational efficiency. Knowledge of public sector procurement is essential, and experience in areas such as construction, data protection, and Freedom of Information is desirable but not required.
